Influence of teachers’ self-efficacy on secondary school students’ self-efficacy in biology in Ogbomoso, Nigeria

It is widely proven by several studies that efficacy an important factor in the teaching-learning process. Therefore, goal of this study was to examine whether teachers’ self-efficacy contributes development students’ Biology. This a descriptive research with survey type which used proportionate and stratified sampling techniques select 98 secondary schools Ogbomoso, Nigeria. Proportionate, purposive, simple random were 207 biology teachers 392 SSS I II students based on gender. The data collected analysed using mean scores, chi-square, regression analysis at 0.05 level significance. findings revealed that: 1) there positive correlation between biology; 2) moderately high; 3) female have higher than male biology. concluded influences their self-efficacy. Thus, it recommended should be responsible pay more attention irrespective
